VIVA! Communications is pleased to be recognised for excellence in the upcoming Public Relations Institute of Australia’s (PRIA) industry award night, scheduled for tomorrow (Wednesday, October 7, 2015).

This year, VIVA! Communications has been shortlisted as a finalist in PRIA’s 39th annual Golden Target Awards and State Awards for Excellence, attracting 170 entrants to 29 award categories across various PR sectors since 1976.

VIVA! Communications entered three PR programs and was shortlisted for all three in the Health Organisations category, which caters to ‘entities committed to the improvement of health and wellbeing in the community’, as follows:

  • Our plea for life: Helping a small patient support group secure PBS listing of the life-saving treatment, Soliris (eculizumab), with the Federal Government’s allocation of $63 million in treatment funding over the ensuing four years.
  • Lungs4Life: Driving adult protection against pneumococcal pneumonia.
  • Anorexia Nervosa: Supporting the world’s largest and most rigorous investigation into anorexia nervosa.

Our Helping #saveaHUSlives: Government funding secured for life-saving treatment for ultra-rare blood disease campaign was also shortlisted in PRIA’s Public Affairs category, that aims ‘to influence public policy and/or affect legislation, regulation or political activities.’

The awards night will be held at the Pullman Quay Grand: ECQ Bar at Circular Quay tomorrow.
