VIVA! Communications clinches three awards at the annual NSW PRIA GTAs

VIVA! Communications clinched three awards at last night’s annual Public Relations Institute of Australia (PRIA) 2019 Golden Target Awards (GTAs) held at 12- Micron, Barangaroo, Sydney.

For the second year in a row, we are proud to be awarded best ‘Health Campaign’ of the year, for our ‘Community Pharmacists Public Health Plea Against Devastating Flu Virus’ campaign.

Our team also won the ‘Community Relations’ category for the second time running, with our ‘Urging at-risk Australians to vaccinate against killer lung infection’ campaign.

In one of the most hotly contested categories of the night, comprising more than five finalists, we also clinched Highly Commended in the NSW ‘Small Consultancy of the Year’ category.

“I’m incredibly proud that VIVA! has once again been industry-recognised for delivering best-in-class strategic communication campaigns for our clientele,” said our Principal and owner, Kirsten Bruce.

“As health + wellness communication strategists, our comprehensive healthcare knowledge and expertise in navigating the complexities of this highly specialised field, truly sets us apart.”

The ‘Community PharmacistsPublic Health Plea Against Devastating Flu Virus’ campaign aimed to heighten public awareness of the seriousness of the flu and the availability and convenience of pharmacist-led flu vaccinations, to help enhance ‘community immunity’ against the virus.

The ‘Community PharmacistsPublic Health Plea Against Devastating Flu Virus’ campaign aimed to heighten public awareness of the seriousness of the flu and the availability and convenience of pharmacist-led flu vaccinations, to enhance ‘community immunity’ against the virus.

The campaign generated an impressive 38 million ‘opportunities to see’ across 795 media outlets, almost doubling the media coverage generated from last year’s public health flu communications campaign (20.7 million), which drove an unprecedented demand for in-pharmacy flu vaccination.

We partnered with Lung Foundation Australia on their “Urging at-risk Australians to vaccinate against killer lung infection” community relationscampaign, to encourage at-risk populations to vaccinate against pneumococcal pneumonia and flu. Our campaign generated an unprecedented 41 million opportunities to see in more than 445 news media outlets and drove a spike in GP patient bookings.

We look forward to the National PRIA GTAs in Melbourne next month, where we will compete against Australia’s leading agencies for best Health and Community Relations Campaigns,” said Kirsten.
