Managing Director Paul Jans is currently flying the VIVA! flag at the GHPR annual general meeting for all partnering companies. This year’s AGM is in Lisbon, Portugal and while the weather isn’t all that cheery in Europe, the delegates are making the most of a rare opportunity to come together and share expert knowledge on global health PR practices.

The GHPR representatives are, among other topics, discussing the potential of digital and mobile media in the world of health communications.

Whether in India, Singapore, Argentina, the UK, Spain or Australia, all partners agreed that reaching audiences with best-in-class mobile, digital and social media/listening activities are critical to effective PR outreach by health industry and medical societies in the future.

The partners also shared many of the challenges facing pharmaceutical marketers, country-by-country, including dealing with market access.

The AGM also saw the premiere of volume 3.0 of the Global Guide to Pharma Marketing Codes, the only country-specific guide to pharmaceutical communications.

The newest partner organisation, Singapore-based Mileage Communications, was officially welcomed at the Lisbon meeting.

Mileage communication brings ‘indigenous’ expertise in communications counsel and were able to share their approach to offering genuine local expertise to countries within the diverse Asian region.

Now in its 11th year, the GLOBALHealthPR network implements national, regional and global objective-led campaigns that are relative and code-complaint in such culturally diverse markets as the US, Europe, Latin American and Asia-Pacific markets.
As a GHPR partner, VIVA! is at the forefront of emerging global health initiatives and innovative campaign solutions. VIVA! is proud to be a member of a global agency specialising in health and life science public relations in 23 countries worldwide.
